Sandy Park to Fingle Bridge or beyond, a One Day Walk. This walk takes in five beautiful woods, along The River Tiegn.


Meldon Quarry to Meldon Reservoir

Drop Off at Meldon reservoir. Once around reservoir dropping down through quarry to explore the works and history before climbing up to Okehampton camp.

Nine Maidens

This Tor contains myths and the legend of Belstone’s nine maidens and the tale of The Irishman’s wall. With added attractions of some of the most stunning views of Dartmoor and Okehampton.


Belstone Viaduct to Belstone Tor

Drop off at Belstone viaduct. Walk East past Waters Glide, climbing up to Belstone Tor, then back down through Belstone taking in the small village.


Belstone Common

Dartmoor Pony and Golf Links to Meldon

Foot Bridge

Drop Off at Railway station. Walk West out through golf course, across Golf course and out to Meldon Quarry. Pick-up at reservoir car park. Stop Off at Betty Cottles for refreshments.


Fernworthy Reservoir

A circuital walk which takes in Dartmoor, the need for water and nature combined at its very best. A bird watchers paradise and a ramblers dream.


Mortonhampstead

Plenty of opportunity here. A beautiful town settled within the moor. It's history matches that of Okehampton.


Cycle Path

Days cycle hire? Or walk the cycle path after taking train to Meldon. The possibility of taking in Sourton Tor and the beautiful Sourton church.
